Salted Egg Shrimp Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 250 grams of Frosala whole shrimp
  • 4 cooked salted egg yolks

Coating Ingredients

  • 150 grams of wheat flour
  • 3 tbsp of tapioca starch
  • 2 egg whites, mixed
  • 1 tsp of pepper
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of mushroom stock

Additional Ingredients

  • 7 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 stalk of spring onion, chopped

How to Make Salted Egg Shrimp

  1. Clean the shrimp, remove the heads, and marinade for 15 minutes in lime juice.
  2. Mix wheat flour, tapioca starch, salt, pepper, and mushroom stock in a bowl.
  3. Put shrimp one by one into the egg white.
  4. After the egg white, coat the shrimp with the flour mixture.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan then deep-fry shrimp until they are half cooked. Once done, turn off the heat.
  6. Smash the cooked egg yolk down to fine crumbles.
  7. Reheat the oil then sauté garlic and spring onions until fragrant.
  8. Add the smashed egg yolk. Stir well.
  9. Add shrimp. Stir well.
  10. Adjust the taste. Once it suits your preference, turn off the heat and remove the salted egg shrimp.
  11. The salted egg shrimp is ready to serve.
