  • 1 tomato
  • 1 lemongrass, beaten

  • Salt

How to Make Sambal Udang

  1. Clean shrimp and marinate for a while in lime juice.
  2. While waiting for the shrimp to marinate, blend bird’s eye chilies, curly red chilies, deseeded red chilies, garlic, and onion with salt, sugar, and mushroom seasoning altogether.
  3. Heat oil in the pan.
  4. Add blended seasoning and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Add lemongrass, galangal, and kaffir lime leaf. Stir well.
  6. Add marinated shrimp. Stir well.
  7. Add a little bit of water. Adjust the taste accordingly.
  8. Slice tomato into 4 parts and add into the sautéed sambal. Stir well.
